The Rock’n with Recovery Treasure Hunt is an annual event sponsored by The UP Foundation to celebrate Recovery Month. The theme of Rock’n with Recovery is “There is Hope”, There is Healing”, and “There is Recovery”. We’ve hidden 100 rocks with QR codes in various locations around the city of Lynchburg. Each QR code includes a link revealing information. All of the rocks have prizes connected to them such as gift cards, vouchers, or merchandise. The person who collects the most rocks will be given the title of “Rock Star” and receive the grand prize – a $1000 Visa Gift Card! So, get out there! Let’s get Rock’n!
Event Features:
These are the official rules for the Rock’n with Recovery Treasure Hunt. In celebration of National Recovery Month, we are hosting a contest that begins on September 1, 2024, and ends on September 30, 2024. There is no purchase necessary to participate. The Rock’n with Recovery Treasure Hunt is open to all residents located in Central Virginia, including the localities of Lynchburg, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell County. All entrants under 18 must have parental/guardian consent to participate.
Event Date:
September 1 - 30, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Rock’n with Recovery Jam Session & Celebration Event Location:
Miller Park, Lynchburg VA, large Pavilion. Come and bring a friend to rock and jam with us. Join in for fun and food, and celebrate the fact that ‘There is Hope, Healing and Recovery.’
Rules for the Treasure Hunt:
- Get out there and find those rocks!
- When you find a rock, please take a picture of you and the rock and where you found it. Send the picture to [email protected]. With your permission, we would like to post this on The UP Foundation Facebook page.
- Bring your rock(s) to The UP Foundation office at 2420 Memorial Avenue, Lynchburg VA, 3 rd Floor to secure your prize. All prizes will be given away at the Jam Session on October 3rd.
- The person who finds and returns the most rocks will be our Grand Prize winner and “Rock Star” and receive a $1000 Visa Gift Card!
There are special prizes associated with all rocks in this Treasure Hunt. In order to receive your prize, the rock must be returned to The UP Foundation office. The prizes and Rock Star Awards will be given out at our Jam Session on October 3, 2024.

The deadline to return all rocks is Monday, September 30th by 4:00 p.m.
