Citywide Treasure Hunt

Event Details:

The Rockin' with Recovery Treasure Hunt is an annual event sponsored by The UP Foundation to celebrate Recovery Month. The theme of Rockin' with Recovery is “There is Hope”, There is Healing”, and “There is Recovery”. We’ve hidden 100 rocks with QR codes in various locations around the city of Lynchburg. Each QR code includes a link revealing information. All of the rocks have prizes connected to them such as gift cards, vouchers, or merchandise. The person who collects the most rocks will be given the title of “Rock Star” and receive the grand prize – a $1000 Visa Gift Card! So, get out there! Let’s get Rockin'!

Event Features:

These are the official rules for the Rockin' with Recovery Treasure Hunt. In celebration of National Recovery Month, we are hosting a contest that begins on September 1, 2025, and ends on September 30, 2025. There is no purchase necessary to participate. The Rockin' with Recovery Treasure Hunt is open to all residents located in Central Virginia, including the localities of Lynchburg, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell County. All entrants under 18 must have parental/guardian consent to participate.

September 1 - 30, 2025.

Rockin' with Recovery Jam Session & Celebration Event Location - October 2nd:

Miller Park, Lynchburg VA, large Pavilion. Come and bring a friend to rock and jam with us. Join in for fun and food, and celebrate the fact that ‘There is Hope, Healing and Recovery.’

Rules for the Treasure Hunt:

1. The person who finds and returns the most rocks will be our Grand Prize winner and “Rock Star” and receive a $1000 Visa Gift Card!

2. In the event of a tie, there will be a drawing. All persons will have their names placed in a hat and the winner will be selected randomly.

3. When you find a rock, take a pic/video of yourself to post on your Facebook page, tag us in it at #Rockin’WithRecovery #DownWithUP #FYPViral. If you found a rock click HERE to log in your rock and claim your prize. If you don’t have a Facebook page, please post it on TikTok, or Instagram or send a video to evan@upwithrecovery.org for us to post.

4. Bring your rock(s) to The Up Foundation office at 2420 Memorial Ave Lynchburg VA, 3rd floor to secure your prize. All prizes will be given away at the Jam Session on October 3rd.

5. On our social media page, we will post Facebook reels of people with the rocks once they’ve been collected. (video or picture)

6. The QR code directs the person to the Rockin’ with Recovery webpage.

7. Employees, Volunteers, and Family of employees affiliated with The UP Foundation are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in the contest.

8. All winners must use the link on the website to log their rock with The UP Foundation by October 2, 2025 via link provided on website. Failure to do so will disqualify the rock from any prizes.

There are special prizes associated with all rocks in this Treasure Hunt. In order to receive your prize, the rock must be returned to The UP Foundation office. The prizes and Rock Star Awards will be given out at our Jam Session on October 2, 2025.

The deadline to return all rocks is Tuesday, September 30th by 4:00 p.m.
